Put Halloween to the Test
Would the Holy God approve of His children participating in Halloween?
Here are some tests to help clear up any confusion:
- Which would you say is directly associated with Halloween, good or evil?
- Name five objects or images that are commonly associated with Halloween.
- To which would you say Halloween belongs, day or night?
- With whom is Halloween associated? (Just be honest - what would a seven year old say?)
- Which concept is more closely associated with Halloween; horror, or peace and security?
- Do people actually practice real witch craft and magic arts?
- Is it prudent to expose children to occult practices?
Now consider your answers to these tests, and ask yourself if a child of God should have anything to do with Halloween.
We will give an account of our actions to a dreadful and holy God in whom is no darkness at all!
One may read testimony after testimony of former pagans, witches, druids and Satanists, that all declare the truth
about Halloween. It is a day to honour gods and godesses and to celebrate darkness, and things that
are abominations to the one true God who reigns eternal.
I Corinthians 10:21
Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the
cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table,
and of the table of devils.
Ephesians 5:8 For ye were
sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:...
II Corinthians 6:14 ...what communion
hath light with darkness?
Deuteronomy 18:10 There shall not
be found among you any one that maketh his son or daughter to pass through the fire, or that
useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or
a wizard, or a necromancer. 18:12 For all that do these
things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth
drive them out from before thee. 18:13 Thou shalt be perfect
with the LORD thy God. 18:14 For these nations, which thou shalt
possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee,
the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.
There are many instances in God's word that condemn the practic of magic, witchcraft,
consulting the dead, sorceries and etc.; and scripture is clear that those that practice such are
damned to hell.
A serious mistake is being made in the modern churches - we are forgetting that God is holy.
Nothing even remotely like evil will survive Christ's righteous judgment.
If a person names the name of Christ, then let him be very careful to depart from iniquity
and have no part in celebrating darkness.
